Confirmation

Every year, hundreds of thousands of teenagers receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and many more hours are poured into preparing them to receive that Sacrament. Yet, many of those teenagers fall away from the Church later on. Our curriculum provides an intensive approach to preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, combining powerful content that helps teenagers answer life’s big questions and to pray about their God-given purpose as Catholics!

This is a process that brings teens closer to Christ in the preparation of the Sacrament of Confirmation and brings them in communion with serving God in the Church!

Registration for 2023-2024 will open on June 1, 2023!

Registration & Preparation

Required Documents: 

• Candidates must be registered parishioners of St. Helena. If family is not registered, click here to register.
• Copy of Baptismal Certificate
• Copy of First Communion Certificate
• Sponsor Form (signed by both the Sponsor and the Sponsor's home parish)

• Attending workshops/ gatherings to update their understanding of the sacraments of Confirmation.
• Preparing their child at home with materials that are explained at the workshop/gatherings.
• Participating in a 3-day overnight retreat at a campsite. Retreat is only for HS Youth.
• Family participation at Fall Festival and over large parish events.
• Sacramental Interviews with Parent & Child. One interview is conducted at the beginning of each year and another towards the end.
• Participate in Parish Penance Services
• Confirmation Mass Rehearsal
