We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your increased contributions this weekend. Your generosity is profoundly appreciated and significantly impacts our parish community. The collections are vital to the operations and maintenance of St. Helena's. The first collection, which remains within the parish, assists in covering our operating costs but has yet to fully recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Building Fund, gathered at least monthly, is designated exclusively for the new Religious Education Building. Furthermore, the Maintenance Fund, a recent addition collected at least monthly, is allocated to St. Helena to address ongoing maintenance needs. Your continued generosity is crucial for the well-being of our parish, and we encourage you to persist in supporting these essential funds.
Please be aware that the Archdiocese Second Collections do not remain at St. Helena and are not used for any repairs at St. Helena or operating needs. These include Propagation of the Faith, Assumption Seminary, Catholic Charities, Peter's Pence, Rice Bowl, Retired Religious, Catholic Relief Services, Catholic Schools, and Archbishop's Appeal, among others. These funds are sent to the Archdiocese, which then distributes them to the respective organizations.
We hope that by understanding the allocation of these funds, you can appreciate the broader impact of your contributions.
Once again, we sincerely thank you for your kindness and unwavering commitment. Your support ensures that our parish and the wider community can continue to thrive and fulfill our mission.
